Job Description:

• Clinical Pharmacist – Inpatient To provide pharmaceutical care by performing medication-related distributive, clinical, educational functions as well as directly overseeing discretionary tasks performed by pharmacy technicians. The awarding winning inpatient Pharmacy Department at Kaweah Health Medical Center provides progressive pharmacy services across three campuses and includes a staff of 100+ with over 45 clinical pharmacists. The Inpatient Pharmacy operates 24/7 pharmacy services. A full array of technology is available to assist with distribution of medications to our patients including automated inventory management, automated dispensing cabinets, bar code technology, automated TPN and workflow management systems. Clinical Inpatient Pharmacy services utilize an integrated decentralized staffing model. Pharmacists practice on nursing units participating in order verification, provision of drug information, and clinical services. Clinical services include pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation management, and automatic intravenous to oral switches, automatic renal dose adjustments and automatic therapeutic interchanges. Specialty pharmacy services include Anemia Management, Anticoagulation, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Infectious Disease, Oncology, Pain Management, and Pediatrics.
