Job Description:
A dynamic leader in the retail industry is seeking a Process
Improvement Engineer for their distribution center.
Job Summary: Position will be responsible for the planning,
development, and execution of all assigned cost reduction projects.
Candidate will work closely with Operations staff to provide
cross-functional training and project support in addition to being
responsible for creating process documentation and associated
training for newly implemented procedures. Candidate must possess
strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.
Key areas of focus will include:
Data collection, sorting and analysis
Design and implementation of new procedures, standards and
performance indicators in key operational areas including
transportation, material handling, plant operations, warehousing
and supply chain
Evaluation of the impact of new procedures and team execution
levels, develop training and record keeping criteria for process
and quality improvement techniques.
Job Qualifications:The successful candidate must have: Degree in
Engineering (Industrial/Manufacturing), A minimum 6 years of full
time experience in process improvement and ideally in a
distribution/manufacturing environment.
MUST have strong knowledge of process improvement techniques such
as Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen. Resume must be able to showcase
quantifiable contributions and successes in work history.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
