Community Medical Centers is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular
Technologist to join their team in Fresno, California.Job
SummaryThe ideal candidate will have experience in invasive
cardiovascular procedures, including heart catheterizations, PCI,
pacemaker insertion, pericardiocentesis, and cardioversion. They
will also be responsible for performing non-invasive procedures
such as echocardiograms, treadmills, and pacemaker
evaluations.Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and cardiovascular nurses with various
invasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Perform non-invasive procedures such as echocardiograms and
treadmills.
- Provide accurate test data to physicians.
- Ensure quality images and data analysis for
interpretation.
- Prepare for invasive procedures by preparing sterile tables and
scrubbing.
- Record and burn procedure images onto compact discs and files
appropriately.
- Order and stock supplies for the Cath Lab.
- Calibrate and balance equipment such as pressure recorders,
transducers, digital analyzers, and other electronic diagnostic
machines.
- Connect patients to electrocardiographic monitoring systems
prior to catheterization or other procedures.
- Monitor and record intra-cardiac pressures and cardiac tracings
throughout catheterization procedures.
- Make post-examination calculations from data gathered.
- Assemble calculations, recorded data, and log sheets after the
examination and prepare them into a final report for use by the
Cardiologist.
- Comply with established personal protective equipment and
safety requirements.
- Assist Cardiologists with electrophysiology studies, including
3D mapping, cardiac ablation, and transseptal approach.
- Perform operations of EP mapping and ablation equipment, and
data collection.
- Reprogram pacemakers and ICDs.
- Perform echocardiograms.Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of college with coursework in Biology and Anatomy and
Physiology required.
- Experience in the healthcare industry and/or a healthcare
setting required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- RCIS or National Certification related to specialty and
applicable to role required.Community Medical Centers is an equal
